Health Data Policy

Last updated: July 17, 2026. This is a draft. It has not been reviewed by counsel and is not yet in force.

CaddiDaddy is a wellness product. It is not a medical device. We do not diagnose, detect, treat, or monitor any medical condition. Nothing in the app is medical advice. If you have a health concern, talk to a doctor, not an app.

1. What we mean by "health data"

Two sensor streams from your Apple Watch or Wear OS watch fall under this policy:

2. Why we collect it

Strictly for wellness and performance context — never for diagnosis:

We do not use heart rate or motion data to detect, infer, or flag any medical condition, arrhythmia, fitness level, or health risk, and we make no claims that our signal-quality labels, trends, or averages are clinically accurate. When the watch's signal is poor, we label it poor — we never smooth over or interpolate a bad reading to make it look clean.

3. Consent — separate and opt-in

Heart rate and motion collection require their own explicit opt-in, separate from your account signup consent. You can use CaddiDaddy's core features — scoring, distances, the AI caddie — without ever turning this on. Declining or later revoking health-data consent does not lock you out of the app or degrade any core feature; you simply won't see heart-rate or swing-detection-derived stats.

4. Retention

Heart rate and raw motion sensor windows are retained only as long as your account is active and this consent remains on. If you revoke consent, we stop new collection immediately and delete previously collected heart-rate and raw motion data on request (see Section 5). On account deletion, all of it is removed along with the rest of your account data, per our Privacy Policy.

5. Your right to refuse or delete

You can turn heart-rate and motion collection off at any time in account settings, or ask us to delete previously collected health data by emailing privacy@caddidaddy.com. Refusing or deleting this data never removes your account or your core scoring/distance/AI-caddie access — it only removes the wellness features that depend on it (heart-rate trends, composure notes).

6. Sharing

Heart rate and motion data are not sold, and are not shared with advertisers. They stay within our own infrastructure (Cloudflare D1/R2) for the purposes described above. See our Privacy Policy for our general list of processors.

7. Changes

Any change that expands what we do with heart-rate or motion data will be called out clearly here, not folded into a routine update.
