Map Data Attribution

Last updated: July 17, 2026.

© OpenStreetMap contributors. Course boundary, hole layout, and other base map data underlying CaddiDaddy's course maps is sourced in part from OpenStreetMap and available under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0.

1. Two layers, two licenses

CaddiDaddy's course maps combine two independent data layers, rendered together but never merged into one database:

Full detail on how we keep these layers separate is in our engineering clean-room data policy, which golfers, course operators, and anyone evaluating our data practices are welcome to ask about at privacy@caddidaddy.com.

2. Where attribution appears

"© OpenStreetMap contributors," linking to openstreetmap.org/copyright, appears on every map view that renders the OpenStreetMap layer, and on this page, as required by ODbL §4.3.

3. Status today

CaddiDaddy has not shipped yet — there is no live map view to attribute in production today. This page exists ahead of launch so the attribution requirement is in place before any map ever renders publicly, and will keep applying once the app is live.

4. Your course corrections

If you submit a pin report or course correction once the app is live, it becomes part of our proprietary layer, not the OpenStreetMap layer — see our Privacy Policy, Section 6.
